Sorry for the poor composition of this photo. In order to get a good shot of Mamma Robin’s eggs, I have to hang my camera precariously out one of our second floor windows.

Day 119, originally uploaded by rhmom42. Sorry for the poor composition of this photo. In order to get a good shot of Mamma Robin’s eggs, I have to hang my camera precariously out one of our second floor windows. Day 118, originally uploaded by rhmom42. Before I begin today’s post, let me give a brief disclaimer for the people that are keeping track (cough…cough…Stacy…cough): I did not take this photo today. Now that I’ve come clean, I will tell you about today’s photo. I had off today for some doctors’ appointments, so I had a little [...] Day 117, originally uploaded by rhmom42. We finally saw the new neighbor who built a nest in our rhododendron bush. It’s Momma Robin and her eggs! We’re so excited to watch and see when the baby robins hatch. What a wonderful thing to have happen outside our window! Day 116, originally uploaded by rhmom42. At this point in the spring, there is very little good I can think about the rain. The only thing that is even the slightest bit appealing about April showers right now is the chance to see the rain on my plants. Otherwise, I’m really wishing for the sun right [...] Day 115, originally uploaded by rhmom42. Look what we found outside our window! A bird’s nest! We can’t get high enough to see if there are any eggs in it, but my hubby saw a bird in there yesterday. We’re going to keep watching and see if we get any baby birds. Stay tuned! Day 114, originally uploaded by rhmom42. Even with a pounding head and burning eyes from all the pollen, it is easy to appreciate the beauty of the newness of spring. Day 113, originally uploaded by rhmom42. Just seeing my oak trees make me want to sneeze! The pollen count here is so high that even people, like me, who don’t usually suffer from allergies are bothered with sinus headaches, burning eyes, stinging throats and itchy noses. Yuck! Day 112, originally uploaded by rhmom42. I just love seeing the Lillies of the Valley popping up in my yard in the spring. They seem like little bells. When I was a child, I imagined they were little church bells, hanging in tiny steeples, merrily ringing the noon time hymn. Day 111, originally uploaded by rhmom42. We’re having one of those little rain showers right now, the kind that just dampen the ground. I love these little showers because they give me the opportunity to photograph the tiny drops of rain as they rest on my plants. Day 110, originally uploaded by rhmom42. Our hanging strawberry plant from last summer left us a surprise-babies! There are babies in my herb garden blooming like crazy. What a nice gift! |
